What We’re Carrying Now: Workman’s Lockdown Loadout

What’s your lockdown loadout?!

 

So, we’re all stuck at home. Sort of. At least for the time being. For some of you. Depending on what state and city you live in.

But whether you’re home by choice or necessity, you still need to prepare for what might happen: the unenviable potential break-in or home invasion. Criminals don’t typically follow the law or stay-at-home orders, ya know! Instead, they’re on the hunt for easy victims. Which is why it’s always a good idea to carry at home, or at least have what you need within arm’s reach at all times.

That’s why I make sure I have a fighting chance against any attacker at all times.

Here’s my lockdown loadout:

Glock 43

Yep, we’ll start with the gun, the obvious line of defense. If you’re looking for compact concealed, the Glock 43 offers legendary Glock reliability in a 6+1 round configuration.

At just over six inches long and one inch wide, the G43 is easy to conceal, and it weighs only 20 ounces fully loaded, so it won’t bog down a holster or the pants it’s attached to. With a boatload of built-in safety features, the G43 is one of the safest guns on the market to carry and perfect for anyone’s loadout.

And because Glocks in general and the G43, in particular, have been around so long now, accessories can be found pretty much anywhere, including a wide selection of IWB and OWB holsters to fit your personal carry style. Of course, you should always carry an extra mag in a mag pouch. Lucky for you, the G43 comes with two magazines.

The Hybrid MT2 IWB Holster

Speaking of holsters, what are the odds that CrossBreed has a convenient and comfortable IWB holster for the Glock 43? I’d say  100%!
