[WATCH] Industry Reaction to the Walther CCP M2 .380 ACP

One of the most interesting guns to launch so far this year has been the CCP M2 in .380 ACP from Walther.

The CCP, short for Concealed Carry Pistol, is the first polymer pistol with Softcoil gas technology, which utilizes the gasses fired from the round to delay recoil with a piston attached to the slide. This gas-delayed blow-back system works hand-in-hand with Walther’s fixed barrel semi-automatic system, making it the softest shooting .380 ACP on the market.

The CCP is also the most ergonomic and comfortable handgun in Walther’s dynamic concealed carry lineup. Tool-less takedown and a fixed barrel allow for easy cleaning and maintenance, making this one of the most accessible pistols available today. With additional popular features such as an external safety, front, and rear slide serrations and a reversible magazine release, the CCP M2 handgun is sure to become a valuable addition to your everyday carry.

Sounds pretty good, right?! On paper, yes but let’s see what the reaction has been from the industry in these great video gun reviews!

Walther Q4 SF Optics Ready and 380 CCP [SHOT Show 2020]

Walther’s 9x19mm Q4 SF steel-framed handgun is based on their earlier Q5 Match, except with an optics-ready plate that allows users to mount an optic of their choice to the handgun. The pistol is intended as a carry version of the Q5 which was received with much fanfare last year but many requested that a carry version be brought to market.

Also out is the .380 caliber CCP handgun which uses Walther’s gas system to cycle the slide in between shots.
