Although all of our leather hybrid holsters are treated with leather conditioner before they leave the shop, it may be necessary to condition the leather over the life of the holster. We use and recommend Neatsfoot Oil on our horsehide holsters and 4-Way leather conditioner on our cowhide holsters. The leather conditioners should be applied only to the gun side of the leather with a minimalist approach. The back side of the leather will be conditioned with the natural body oils from your skin and no further treatment is needed. If you need to clean the leather of your holster, saddle soap is recommended, followed by a leather conditioner after the leather has fully dried.
We have the ability to craft holsters for several different lasers on the market today including Crimson Trace, Laser Max and Laser Lyte and Viridian. Please check the gun listing on our website for your specific firearm and laser, if it is not listed we are unable to accommodate that particular model. If your firearm is fitted with a Crimson Trace Laser Grip, please include this information in the additional comment section of your order. At this time we are unable to accommodate any of the Universal Rail Mounted Lasers or Lights.
We offer three styles of clips for those holsters that have belt clips attached.

First is the standard clip which we call the SnapLok, this clip comes with all SuperTuck® holsters as the basic clip. It goes down over the outside of the belt and hooks the bottom edge of the belt via a 90 degree lip. It is a VERY stable clip as it puts the weight of the gun on the belt and not the pants. It offers the best support of all the clips and is reasonably discreet.

Next would be the J-Hook, this clip goes down BEHIND the belt and then hooks up at the bottom preventing the holster from drawing out with the gun. The advantage to this clip is that it is more discreet than the SnapLok, but by putting the weight on the pants instead of the belt, it tends to want to ride down with heavier guns and is not as stable. The most common option is for folks to order a set of J-Hooks to go with their SnapLoks. We make this very easy by this being the default option and a pair of these is only $10.00 if ordered at the time you order your SuperTuck®. This means you would get both the SnapLoks and a pair of J-Hooks and decide which you liked best or mix and match.

Finally we have the V-Clip which is intended for very deep concealment needs. This clip has no hook or ear and goes down behind the belt. It is faced with "hook" Velcro and needs a Velcro backed belt to attach to. This is a very stable clip and also completely invisible behind the belt, the downside is that you must attach some loop Velcro to the back of a belt or buy a belt with some already on it. We do provide a length of loop Velcro when you order this style clip, if you would like to use a belt you currently have. We also offer our own belts already equipped with the Velcro kit which includes the Velcro backed belt and V-Clips with hardware for use on our SuperTuck holster.
Making the best holster on the market means doing a lot of little things that other companies do not. To ensure top quality finished goods, we start with top quality components. We are proud to offer three different and distinct leather options, selected or tanned especially for CrossBreed® Holsters to suit each individual's needs and comfort.

Hand Dyed Cowhide Black
Our Hand Dyed Cowhide is selected especially for CrossBreed® Holsters by our leather supplier. We dye it black and buff it to a perfect finish by hand. The leather's superior quality is the key to offering great stability combined with extreme comfort.

Premium Cowhide
Our Premium Cowhide has been individually selected and treated exclusively for CrossBreed® Holsters. This process creates the same comfort and moisture resistant qualities as our horsehide holsters. CrossBreed's® Premium Cowhide is available in a light tan color and is a great alternative when our horsehide is not available.

Premium Horsehide
Our Premium Horsehide option is a leather that comes from hides tanned in USA and made from the extremely sought after Shell Cordovan. This particular leather used to make some of the finest leather products in the world. The horsehide is a more dense, tighter grained leather making it more moisture resistant than other types of leather. Our customers that live in hot humid climates or tend to perspire more prefer the horsehide because of the leather grain properties. The horsehide is available only in a natural tan color and is finished and conditioned with Neetsfoot Oil.

The supply of the proper high quality horsehide is limited, there are times when it is simply unavailable. During these times, the selection will be pulled from the website and made unavailable to order. If you'd like horsehide and it is currently unavailable, we suggest trying our Premium Hard Rolled Cowhide.
The Combat Cut is where we trim away some of the leather from behind part of the grip of your pistol, leaving leather coverage behind the trigger guard and slide. This allows a firmer grasp on the gun during the draw stroke. This modification will sacrifice a little bit of comfort but does increase the draw speed. This is an extra cost option because this cut is made to follow the contour of the individual firearm; the look of this cut varies from one holster to another depending on holster type, leather type, and gun choice. Approximately 20% of our customers prefer this option, while the others either have no preference or feel it sacrifices too much comfort. If you are unsure, don't order it. We can do it later if you would like; but once it's done, it's done.
While that is an individual question, here are some general guidelines. SuperTuck® - Overall the best choice and most popular model. It is adjustable and tuckable. It works well with all size guns and is intended for all day-every day carry. It works well from right at the hip all the way around to about 5:00 on the strong side. However, it is not the best choice for crossdraw or appendix IWB carry. The QwikClip is also tuckable and adjustable for cant but not for ride height. It has 3 settings which are FBI, Straight Drop and a bit of a reverse cant. It is the holster we recommend for crossdraw or appendix IWB carry. It also works well with smaller guns up to medium frame guns but can tend to have some stability issues with heavier guns such as full size steel frame guns.
Horsehide is a denser and tighter grained flesh than cowhide. This results in it being more moisture resistant. Customers in very humid climates or who tend to sweat heavily find this to be a useful option as horsehide tolerates dampness better. Horsehide is only available in natural as it's moisture resistance can also cause it to not take dye well. Additionally, the natural finish is very attractive on Horsehide. Horsehide is a limited option as it is not always available, during times when it is not available, the option will be removed from the selections. In other words, if you see it, you can order it.
It may be necessary to condition the leather over the life of your belt. We use and recommend 4-Way leather conditioner and Saddle Butter on our belts. The leather conditioner should be applied to the leather with a minimalist approach. If you need to clean the leather of your belt, saddle soap is recommended, followed by an application of leather conditioner. You will want to ensure that the leather is fully dried before applying the leather conditioner.
It is important that all surfaces be thoroughly cleaned before applying VELCRO® brand velcro with adhesives. All cleaning agents should be tested prior to use to ensure the cleaning agent will not have adverse effects on the item you are applying the VELCRO to. In most circumstances, isopropyl alcohol(rubbing alcohol) will be a sufficient cleaning agent.
